Your pet, the star of a famous painting

Send us one photo of your dog or cat and choose a painting. We recreate the masterpiece with your pet as the sitter – same costume, same pose, same light and brushwork – then a designer checks the likeness and finishes the details. You receive the finished artwork by email within 2 working days and approve it before we print a single sheet.

How it works

3. Within 2 working days we email your finished artwork. One free round of changes is included.
4. You approve → we print on 200gsm matte fine art paper → free tracked UK delivery in 12–17 working days.

The paintings

• The Cavalier – after Frans Hals, The Laughing Cavalier, 1624. Swagger, a wide black hat and a lace collar. Suits confident dogs and cats.
• The Pearl – after Johannes Vermeer, Girl with a Pearl Earring, c.1665. Soft light, blue turban, a glance over the shoulder. Lovely for cats and small dogs.
• The Emperor – after Jacques-Louis David, Napoleon in His Study, 1812. Full uniform, paw on the waistcoat. Made for dogs with a sense of importance.
• The King – after Hans Holbein, Portrait of Henry VIII, 1537. Fur, gold and a feathered cap. For the pet who runs the house.
• The Queen – after the Armada Portrait of Elizabeth I, c.1588. Pearls, lace ruff and a gown of gold. Regal cats especially.
• The Mona Lisa – after Leonardo da Vinci, Mona Lisa, c.1503–1519. The famous half-smile, folded paws and a misty landscape. For the pet who knows something you don't.

Photo tips

• Front-facing or three-quarter view, eyes clearly visible.
• Daylight or a bright room; avoid harsh flash and heavy shadows.
• Your pet should fill at least a third of the frame. For A2 we recommend a photo of at least 2000 px on the short edge.
• Two pets? Email us the photos first – some paintings work for two.

Sizes & paper

Choose A4 (21 × 29.7 cm), A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) or A2 (42 × 59.4 cm). Every size is printed on 200gsm matte fine art paper with pigment inks that resist fading for decades. Prints are supplied unframed, rolled in a rigid tube, and fit standard off-the-shelf frames. Add a frame or passepartout above if you prefer it ready to hang.

Delivery & returns

Your artwork is emailed within 2 working days of ordering. Once you approve it, please allow 12–17 working days for printing and free tracked UK delivery. Personalised prints are made to your specification and cannot be returned once printed unless they arrive damaged or differ from the approved artwork – in which case we reprint or refund.

Can I see it before I pay?

Are the paintings the real originals?
They are our own versions based on public-domain masterpieces, so your pet's portrait is unique to you.

Does it come framed?
Unframed by default, rolled in a rigid tube. Add a frame or passepartout above.
